Girls Only Movement to Host an All-Star Workshop on February 3
[Charleston, South Carolina] The No Boys Allowed Movement will host its 2018 All-Star Workshop on Saturday, February 3 at the College of Charleston-North Campus. Middle and high school girls, of the tri-county, are invited for a day of “fun, girl power, and the planning and preparation of their future”.
“This invite is also extended to parents and guardians. We would like them to become more familiar with the NBA mentorships program and our college tour in the spring”, said Kara P. Simmons, Co-Founder.
Thirty girls will travel to Historically Black College & Universities (HBCU) in D.C, Virginia, and Maryland during spring break. Scheduled April 1-5, 2018, The NBA College Tour, is the organizations leading program. In their first year, 19 middle and high school girls from the tri-county, traveled to HBCU campuses in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.
Simmons and her colleagues are also excited to have the NBA College Tour Class of 2017 join them at the workshop. The inaugural theme is "creating a game plan for their academic and personal success”, and will feature:
